A great character hotel, originally the family home of the Sutcliffe family, with plenty of history and interesting pictures, photos and memorabelia about the original fifth beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe, his life and connection to the Beatles. A hidden gem in a lovely setting, although backing on to busy Eggy Road, the hotel is situated on the edge of beautiful Sefton Park. It was surprisingly peaceful, in just a few short steps from the hotel you're by the boating lake, watching Liverpool life going bye. Julie and the staff were friendly and full of scouse character, the breakie was lovely, served overlooking the entrance to the park, they always had time for a chat and there was a treat for doggy boy at breakie too. A different hotel in the heart of South Liverpool. And we'll take up you're invite to pop back for a coffee when we're passing.. 😁

This hotel is in the most beautiful location opposite the most delightful park. The park is full of life with families, joggers, dog walkers. There is plenty of parking nearby and it is very convenient for pubs, restaurants, cafes, walks etc. plus a lovely outdoor seating area in the grounds of the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The Beatles theme and memorabilia add a certain unexpected charm, including in the bedrooms. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh. The breakfasts were really delicious and not greasy at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would be very happy to stay here again. An absolute bargain for the money.

Joan, Annie and Rob in particular were brilliant; so helpful, nothing too much to ask for; friendly, happy to chat while being totally professional. Comfortable beds. Excellent shower. Ample storage. Good lighting options. Great artefacts around the public rooms from Stuart Sutcliffe's career as a Beatle, his life and untimely death. Lovely view of Sefton Park from the second room. Ample parking (steep stairs to front door). Buses run close by for journeys into the city - 60 or 82. To Anfield, it's 30+ minutes via the 60 and the 27 at £2 per ticket or £5.50 for a day ticket. Great, quiet location near to everywhere we needed to be for my friends wedding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even lending the bridal team scissors and sewing kits as needed. The room was spacious enough and had everything we needed for our short stay. I liked the local memorabilia dotted around the hotel and noticed the hotel seems to be well maintained even in hallways.
